Product Brief Introduction:
The laryngeal mask is an supraglottic aeration device (artificial airway) developed by the British anesthesiologist Brain in 1983 according to the structure of the human throat. A closed ventilation space is formed around the glottis. Through the laryngeal mask, the patient can maintain both spontaneous breathing and positive pressure ventilation, which is a new type of ventilation device between the mask and the tracheal intubation.
The double-tube laryngeal mask (drainage type laryngeal mask) adds a gastric fluid drainage tube (or gastric juice drainage channel) on the basis of the single-tube laryngeal mask, which can ensure the safe and effective ventilation of the patient, and can also drain the gastric juice and stomach contents to prevent the occurrence of reflux aspiration. The advent of dual-tube laryngeal masks and their continuous improvement have enabled laryngeal masks to replace tracheal intubation in most general anesthesia procedures.
